Great for true nano aquariums

I use this small head with a 3 gallon nano aquarium that I use as a backup when I quarantine fish before moving them to my larger tanks. However, the tank is permanently installed. I use it with the included air nozzle to get extra air into the tank. For this purpose it worked great. Note that I was specifically looking for a tiny head, so the fact that it's really small and doesn't have much flow is actually a plus. Regardless, the flow is pretty strong for an aquarium of this size, so I wouldn't recommend setting it below 3 gallons unless you're looking for LARGE circulation. I also attached a sponge to the air intake to add extra filtration and make sure shrimp etc don't get stuck in the air intake. It seems to work. My only complaint, and it's not a big one, is that it's a bit difficult to adjust the airflow, but it's not a big deal. Especially considering the price I am very happy with this little lure and can add something to my larger tanks to increase flow in tight areas. It's also great for adding air. If I had noticed this head sooner, I probably would have just skipped the air pump and stone and used this one instead. It would be cheaper and quieter than an air pump and would probably disperse the air better in the water since the bubbles are quite small.
