were able to walk around the pen during quarantine. I have my own small dog and the SPCA said they must be kept separate for 2 weeks before being introduced so they don't infect each other. The panels added space for the puppies to run and were easy to install, but the entire system itself isn't the most secure. It's 100% plastic and uses pins as hinges to hold the doors in place. When the puppies were about 8 weeks old, their romp was enough to knock down almost the entire arena. If your dogs are like mine they can also come down from above and jump over Spiderman. My husband wants to use the playpen for our son now but again I don't recommend it :P
