Actually, I don’t particularly need numbers, but navigation is another matter. I bought MS Number Pad because I couldn't get used to the small arrows on the new ultrabook, but here they promised full customization. It works, and even complete . almost. But not really. Restriction - in the most annoying place. On the top left there is a button with a calculator image. By default, it launches calc. Exe. Probably, old-school accountants should be very pleased, although it is difficult to imagine how wide such a market is for this particular device. However, it's none of my business. The Mouse and Keyboard Center software offers to reprogram this button to NumLock. Logically. Actually, it looks like a somewhat camouflaged switch. But here is the first feature: this button can be made calc or NumLock - and nothing else. Let's say redefine Enter to Ctrl-Z and 0 to Shift-Del - no problem. Here, there are only two options. Well, NumLock is exactly what I need. More precisely, arrows are needed, and NumLock gives them the key. Fabulous. But where is the up arrow? On 8. And left-right - 4 and 6. Five does nothing. That is, this is the layout of the old IBM PC keyboard. Over the past 20-30 years, I've gotten used to having the arrows at the bottom in an inverted "T" shape. It is quite possible to relearn - but why not indicate what is where on the keys themselves? Shooter, PgUp / PgDn, Home / End are not shown on them. Alas. Of course, I can set "5" as "up", etc. myself. It works. Only in this case NumLock falls off - and native numbers become unavailable. It's annoying. Maybe you can set your own layout with NumLock, but I just didn’t understand the documentation? Not excluded. True, I honestly read all the attached paper and what I managed to find on the site and, for example, found out that it is harmful to swallow batteries, especially at an early age - but I did not find an explanation for the issue that interests me. I made a cheat sheet - I'll get used to it. But overall quite satisfied.
