Review on πŸš‘ Optimized First Responder Trauma Bag: Dixie Edition by Ryan Foles

Perfect size for an anaphylaxis kit

I don't use this bag as a general first aid bag but as an anaphylaxis first aid kit. Not only can I easily store my Epi-Pen set there, but I can also fit a 500ml bag of liquids and a drop tube together in one of the side pockets for quick access. The other side pocket allows me to store my catheter access accessories, including a sterile kit and an extra sterile glove pouch. All of the medications included in such a kit (epileptics, epinephrine ampoules and needles/syringes; Benadryl IV, oral medications) are placed neatly and with quick access in the tissue tray that goes inside. I can fit a full 1000ml saline bag and an extra gravity tube under this tray, and I have enough space to keep a copy of my recipe and instructions for use front and center once the bag is opened. And it's not much more than a mini backpack. I am very impressed with this money and will be buying another one for first aid and medicine kits. Given the review, you've probably all figured out that I'm a little medically complex; Having this bag in different colors but still easily identifiable as medical gear will definitely make my travel and hospital bag organization that much easier. I end up having to carry a ton of my own meds to the hospital as they are so specific and giving them to a poor nurse on duty would be way cooler than the hot lock and prayer system currently in use.
