The tank was already assembled when I took it out of the box but after playing with it it's pretty easy. The cable and air hose are simply routed under the rear hood. Try to avoid thick cords when buying a heater, although I don't think that will work. The holes on the plastic suction filter are quite large and one of my snails was sucked in right away. I used nylon but this piece can be removed for the sponge pre-filter if desired. The output leads to the media filter. Does not create large interferences on the surface. However, the air pump is ridiculously powerful. My rooster is a drama queen and initially only lay at the inlet of the filter. Like he hadn't even tried swimming in it. I thought of the worst options. Turned off the filter and after a few minutes it started to swim. Still, I like the aquarium. The lights are good. My personal favorite is the pinker one. Fikter makes water transparent. The trickle was very loud, but in the beginning I had too little water. A week later I hardly notice it anymore.
