A great alternative at full price of the original key but remember the quality will never be the same again. Ordered 2 keys for 2 cars. I programmed them myself using the EWS kit and both have worked flawlessly for about 9 months. One key still works fine but the other key fob doesn't work. Of course, I still have a working spare key, but since the remote lock features don't work, I never use it. A second key change almost negates the original attempt to save money on the original key. In addition to the initial purchase, you spend $40 on a key to have it cut and then additional expense to either buy an EWS programming kit or pay that professional. However, time is money and people should consider the full extent/risk of their investment when looking for a replacement key, not just the cheap initial cost. With all of this, I realized the risk I was taking by starting down this path. , and will most likely use this route again with future cars.
