Perfect for shelling at the beach! The multiple colors helped each of our kids keep their bowls separate and the strap kept our hands free! The lids don't close so you have to keep track of your collection as you fold it, but the mesh is perfect to keep the sand from seeping through and not filling the bag. When we're done, they rinse well with cold water and they take up little room in our storage for a trip to the beach next year! I highly recommend something inexpensive that you don't want to worry about being destroyed by sand and salt water! Oh! We also hunted for shark teeth, but we didn't trust the mesh size to hold them. I think that was mainly because it took so long to find the teeth and we didn't want to risk losing them. We just put an empty bottle in a bag and it worked like a bag! Clams in a bag, shark teeth in a bottle, in a bag. :)
