I bought this 27" monitor to replace a Planar brand 27" monitor that has failed (after about 5 years of service). I connected it to a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 at 1920x1080. I don't play games, but as a software engineer I do a lot of work in Visual Studio 2017 and Android Studio. This monitor is sharp and has perfect image clarity even when viewed from an angle. Even small text is clear and bright. No eyestrain, even after many hours of code review. The built-in speakers suck, but that's to be expected. I'm connecting the audio output from my Surface Pro 2 to external, full-range, amplified stereo speakers. Overall, this monitor is probably the best monitor I have ever used.
