In general the quality of the leather is excellent. It has a real cowhide smell and the leather seems to last a long time. However, the seams used for the bag and the inner material cannot hold up. I had to return the bag due to a defect in the stitching as shown in the photos. The manufacturer had problems with stitching in some key places, sometimes with leather and leather inserts or leather and zipper. The color, or rather the polish everyone is talking about, really rubs into your clothes. You can't beat the price, but something as simple as a bad stitch can cause a bag to rip. I'm also concerned about the handle on top as it may not hold up over time.
