I grabbed these for my 13 year old who had neuropathy from chemo damage. He loves to go hunting with his grandpa but his feet freeze and fall asleep quickly, no matter how many wool socks we use or what inserts we buy. He says these are pretty comfortable for trekking around the woods, his feet have been comfy and he said they aren't cold. They clean up well and easy. Hopefully when the snow piles up they will still be keeping his feet warm.UPDATE:He was out hunting this morning and we started getting a light rain. The rain seeped in where the sole meets the boot and he said it was like walking on sponges. His feet were wet within minutes. For qn $80 price point, I expected better
