Unfortunately these pre-taped SKABS patches will not stop air leaks. They have been applied correctly. Now the inner tube was pulled out of the tire three times to prevent air from escaping. The tube was inflated to the desired pressure; patch applied. But after an hour the hose emptied noticeably. The instructions were simple: roughen up the air leak, patch it, put the tube in the tire, put the tire on the rim, then pump it up. The tire was reinstalled on the bike; the tire blew out within an hour. The tube was removed from the tire, the patch crumpled, peeled off by itself because. the camera exploded. It was believed that before applying the patch it was necessary to inflate the tube. So another method was tried as a test: The tube is not inserted into the tire, it is pumped up to the correct pressure. The hose broke after an hour. As the tube was being inflated, the patch slowly released from the inflated tube. Very unfortunate, very sad. Consider other patches that provide the actual rubber compound to be applied and then patched over. I'm sorry people. But this patch doesn't work judging by the description in the announcement. Must return.
