SMELL: I bought two quilted bedspreads. I sent one back because the polyester smell was too strong. It also smells a bit, but not as strong. I'm sensitive to smells, so if you are too, this one isn't perfect, but it might work for you. Especially if you wash and air it first. I wash in white vinegar and it seems to help with polymer odors. SIZE: I bought a king bed although I have a queen bed as it was cheaper (no one bought the larger sizes) and also one review said it was small. for her queen. But this reviewer must have gotten the size wrong as the king bed is huge on my double bed. It's actually not that hard as it just falls to the ground. FABRIC: It has a durable feel. It's polyester but doesn't feel like cardboard like other similar products. I feel like I can wash it and it won't fall apart. WARM: Since it's polyester, I expected it to be warm, and it's very warm, too warm even in the fall. I usually reset it in the middle of the night. But I suspect that in winter it will be just right. A lot of people complain that polyethylene doesn't "breathe", but even though it's very warm, I don't feel sweaty laying it on top of my other bedspreads. It feels warm and comfortable. It's great when you first go to bed, it warms you up right away. I'm not shaking from this cold bed anymore. COLOR: The color is very similar to the picture.
