After much research I was finally able to confirm that this would work for JL. As a novice jeep and mechanic I can attest to anyone can attest anyone can fit this. My dealer tried to sell me an installed hitch for $400. It cost me $120, so that means more Jeep toys for me. I was a bit nervous at first when watching the installation videos on YouTube, they all refer to driving in four screws and mounting studs. My jeep already had to put the screws in the outer holes that screw into the bumper. Simply loosen those two bolts, then you can clamp the hitch where it belongs and let the bolts through. I found that the muffler didn't really get in the way of my installation. The hardest part was getting the factory installed bolts on my Jeep (which only required a bit of elbow grease) and not letting the light get in the way. I haven't installed the wiring harness yet as it's not immediately necessary, but the videos make it just as easy. The packaging was very professional and it was delivered on time. I recommend it.
