This projector has made my dreams come true after months of searching, buying other products and trying unsuccessfully to find the right one for mine to find needs. I wanted a lightweight, portable projector that would run off my iPhone, set up quickly and show a great image in a moderately lit room - high hopes and expectations. I tried the new Sony and it was a complete failure - weak images, poor technology integration, very poor app interface. I tried Revain DB's performance and it was just cheap - I couldn't read the text on the screen. Asus is just great! It produces very sharp, clear and bright images. It is very small and light and easy and quick to set up. The ultra short throw is great. I placed the Asus on a small table about five feet or less from the screen and the image came out big and clear. It saves a lot of space in the room and you don't have to worry about people walking in front of it or knocking it over. It warms up quickly and is ready to use shortly after switching it on. I don't worry about turning it on and off because it's very fast. In one of my usual settings, I don't have to turn off the lights. In another room with plenty of natural light, I turn off the lights and raise the blinds and still get a working image. Words are displayed clearly and distinctly. I recommend that you don't even try to run on battery power. This greatly reduces image quality and brightness. But I can live with that because the whole package is so small and light that I can carry the power cord around without too much weight. Because of the very short hub, I find that the short adapter cable usually works well and I don't have to lug around the big orange cable. I add a Bose speaker to the system for great sound when I want to show YouTube. I use a headphone adapter to connect my projector and speakers because bluetooth always gets tricky when other devices are around like my hearing aids. I prefer a smooth presentation with no technical issues. All small plugs and cables fit inside the projector body, except for the optional wall extension. So all I have with me is a projector bag, a Bose speaker and an extension cord. It all fits in a shoulder bag. The projector has all the connections I need - HDMI is more suitable for me. The projector works fine with my iPhone via HDMI. Make sure you are using an Apple Digital AV Adapter or nothing will work properly. Do not use third party adapters with iPhone! The Apple adapter ensures perfect working with the iPhone. I highly recommend buying a small Manfrotto stand that screws onto the bottom of the projector. This makes it very stable and you can easily adjust the projection. This projector is small but powerful. It would be great to hang a big picture on the wall for watching movies at home. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a small, lightweight projector for informal settings or even work on the go.
