This laptop is fine. It gets very hot during use and only lasts about 2 hours on battery, even if it's just on the web is surfing and is in sleep mode. All video playback in Chrome slows down like crazy, with and without hardware acceleration enabled. Downloading Firefox fixed the problem. Minecraft runs at around 40 fps if you set it up properly. This laptop is not for gaming designed. However, the screen is amazing and great for a creative workflow. This is a great laptop for Illustrator, Photoshop and similar programs. Being new to these Adobe programs, I usually place YouTube Adobe tutorials on the bottom screen and the Adobe program itself on the top screen If you need something that only shows videos or If he can watch movies, get something else. This thing works so stupid even just watching Netflix it's amazing. To be honest, I would have preferred to have bought a Macbook M1 instead. The only thing this laptop has compared to the Macbook is that the Zenbook Pro Duo has a touchscreen and dual 4K displays.
