Not like it used to be

First, I've had two previous pairs of dyads over the years until I took a break and wore New Balance Fresh Foams through April of this year. I've always loved the Dyad line. Unfortunately, this pair, bought in April, did not live even six months. As you can see from my photos, the material on the inside of the heel collar started to crack, and after the last walk I got blisters on my heels. They're not the most visually appealing, but I gave them a try as I've had good luck with dyads in the past. I've been wearing these shoes an average of 3 days a week for 3-4 mile hikes since purchase so they haven't been overused. Aside from the heel collar material wearing down, I didn't find these shoes particularly comfortable. I thought it would take a while to break them, but they're nowhere near as comfortable as the previous dyads I've had. After a few miles I feel like my 2nd and 3rd toes are crossed in a toe box. I walk the streets, sidewalks and trails, so there's nothing special there, and that's walking, not jogging. After that my legs seem to have suffered a lot. I regret buying these shoes and will not buy any other Brooks shoes in the future. The quality is abysmal, especially considering the cost of these shoes, and they're nowhere near as comfortable as previous dyads.
