I bought these shoe covers for housework including painting and basement work. I found them to be heavy duty and fairly durable, much better than what I could find in big stores and at a much better price per unit. The waterproof barrier seems to do its job as long as the sole fabric is intact. I didn't get a chance to evaluate traction on a slippery surface. Overall sizing seems standard, but the elastic feels snugger and it took a little more effort to fit my medium sized boots, so it may be more difficult to put them on over large, bulky shoes. I would question the suitability of the product for XL as advertised. Overall I'm happy with the performance and price and now have plenty of supplies for messy house projects.
