I was originally hoping it could be used for groceries and domestic use, but it's actually designed to be able to tell if a person has a fever or not, and it does an excellent job. Within seconds, a color code will show you where that person is within range, and at this time of day it's important to take a temperature quickly. That makes it great for businesses and organizations as well as my family. It seems fairly accurate in terms of a quick check, which also makes it ideal for checking kids' temperatures. The price is a bit higher than I expected, but other than that, I recommend it to everyone.
