Good; First off, these aren't bookshelf speakers. I don't know what giant medieval tomes they were reading on the shelf, but they don't even remotely fit on any of my bookshelves. I had to put them on stands. Included; uuuuu. They don't *quite* have the warmth and musicality of, say, the Dynaudios (I have 2 pairs) that cost 5-10x the price, but they're pretty close. Extremely detailed. Perhaps bordering on the analytical? Every time I listen to them, I pay attention to the details. I think the somewhat analytical sound makes them great for music or movies. The right amp warms them up. I use them in my bedroom for digital music. I run them with a custom AudioSource 50W per channel power amplifier powered by a BlueSound Node 2i. It all sounds absolutely incredible in a 13x13 bedroom with 12" ceilings. Even with only 50 WPC they can easily make a party loud. (Max on the power amp and 2/3 on the node is the volume of a jazz club in this room.) Bass extension in the tops with no limp or muddy The high end really adds presence to the vocals and the hi-hats are right in the room with you If you're looking for a pair of great sounding passive speakers, particularly for dual use as a TV and HiFi speakers and have space to set them up I would highly recommend them.
