Cute wooden critters that encourage spatial awareness and problem solving

I ordered these as a future gift for my grandson and want him to grow up faster so he'll be ready for her sooner but it stands at war with i want him to stay just long enough to snuggle up and sleep so i can enjoy that sweet baby smell a little longer. These animals are made of wood that has been stained with non-toxic paints and simply carved out of a board, which gives them some advantages as they are able to criss-cross stack critters on top of each other. The included cards offer multiple images in a more complex way to piece them together, which is great for helping kids develop spatial thinking and understanding how to translate flat 2D images into 3D concepts. They're pretty durable; The paint is applied fairly well and doesn't seem to rub off easily and they look more like solid wood than MDF or anything like that. So they should be passed down to my grandson and any siblings he gains along the way, and maybe passed down to his kids when he grows up, but that's a long way for a baby who's not even 6 months old! However, his grandmother gives him all kinds of educational toys - his dad was very smart, and if little Juju emulates his dad in this regard, our biggest problem as a family will be to keep him from getting bored.
