I covered pretty much everything in the video but the key takeaways after a week are: 1. Mounting to a wall or ceiling is as easy as the latest Dot Gen 2 but more reliable.2 . The Power over Ethernet adapter is a game changer. All newer homes have ethernet in the walls and I really like having the Dot on the wall rather than the ceiling (like in my video) so you can manually adjust the volume as well. Plugging into an Ethernet network jack in the wall and running cables in the same rack bay and using a PoE adapter makes the installation pretty dummy.3. I've seen many devices with Alexa built in, like smoke alarms, light switches, microwave ovens, etc., and I still think having your own standalone hotspot is the best option. They are so cheap and you can replace them when there is an update. I don't want to replace my light switches and smoke alarms to get an upgrade.4. That Alexa is integrated is incredible. I use it for everything and it really feels like I'm living in the future.
