Our Boston Terrier has become a Boston terror when he visits the vet. When he last visited a few weeks ago, he was so angry that they had to give him a sedative to clean his ears, trim his toenails and give him injections. Today he had another ear infection and I was afraid to go to him. Luckily the postman came five minutes before departure with my short snout. The vet and tech had never seen it before and were more than happy to try it as they knew our dog's past behavior. In short, no tranquilizers, no stress dog, and no vet hassles. They said the short-snouted dog face was "awesome." I agree! He might act like Hannibal Lecter at the vet, he might look like Hannibal Lecter at the vet, but it definitely made the meeting more comfortable for everyone involved.
