They look great on universal hook
I use them for my book bags, glasses, boards, towels, baskets. They are amazing. The instructions say to clean the wall before sticking. I personally don't really do that, I just use my hand and wipe the walls and then I put it on and it stays that way forever. They also say to use a hair dryer or flashlight when moving. All I use is a very large thick knife and I move from side to side very slowly and it peels off.
