Review on Enhance Your Commute with Louis Garneau's Athletic Men's Cycling Shoes by Brian Quenzer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

you look good on me

I brought these to replace my broken Diadora cycling shoes. I use them purely for rotation and only wrote this review after two full 45 minute sessions to make sure they fit and work. I would say that these medium width shoes are suitable for cycling shoes. I'm 8.5 or 9 British, wear shoes or trainers and am a g wide. Most cycling shoes I use are UK 10 or 45 because they are narrow. My Diadora was 43 as they were wide and I took 44 in Multiflex. After really hard training sessions, the fit is perfect. The Velcro still adjusts well, the toe box is fine and they stick well to the heel. They also allow air to circulate around the foot to keep you cool. The biggest improvement is being able to walk on a dirty gym floor as the bases are very stable. Tbh if my walk to the gym was shorter I could walk all the way in it. performance is great. The bases transfer power to the pedals well. They can be easily attached to the pedals. The velcro has a lot of adjustments, although to be honest I miss the ratchet system for the top strap. Overall, they are very well made and will hopefully withstand a lot of spinning.

Pros
  • I have used Look and SPD-SL but they are difficult to walk on. You solve the problem.
Cons
  • Shoes are expensive
