Great value, really terrible instructions

This fan looks great (I have the 52" white/brown) but the instructions are terrible. PROS: Nice, modern fan Moves a TON of air even at low speeds. Tri-blade fans move a lot of air but create slightly more wind noise. More blades mean more wind resistance, so 8 blades let in less air but are a little quieter. We find the extra noise to be very good, not at all annoying, even in the bedroom. Of the 6 speeds, 3 are the MAX, that we used in the 20x20 room #6 is like a hurricane! The light is very bright, you can change the color temperature which is great CONS: The fan is a little slow to respond to commands It's not as bad as it is sounds like it sounds, but when you press a button on the remote control there is a beep, then a fan click and the command is carried out, once you get used to it it really isn't s. The light is very bright, a dimmer would be nice. If you set the warmest color temperature, everything is fine. In daylight it is blinding and very bright. SMALL increase in wind noise typical of 3-blade fans. Actually, we like white noise. It's quiet at low levels but moves as much air as 3 speed fans on #2.HORRIBLE instructions. Having experience with hanging fans, I knew the ONLY place for a large remote module was the hole in the top of the mounting bracket. My brother, who hasn't installed a fan in 20 years, has never done this. It literally took him an hour to figure it out himself because the instructions don't say anything about where to put the giant box. It will never fit in a metal cone. A picture with a sentence can make a difference.

Pros
  • Easy to install: 52" diameter, 2 rails: 6" and 10", for low height and ceiling height, suspension system keeps fan well balanced.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
