Our second and third cables from the Microsoft Xbox One Play & Charge Kit wear out due to the extra stress the cylinder puts on the first few inches after the micro USB connection exercises . This Nyko cable doesn't have that, but it's pretty loose in all three of my family's old Microsoft model 1537 wireless controllers (pre-Xbox One S) and even loses connection a couple of times while gaming! (Hopefully the connector on the Nyko Power Pak fits better, but I don't plan to try it anytime soon.) The battery gauge window is much larger than the official Microsoft cable, so it's easier to see. Side up and bright enough to even see through the two plastic pins that hold the connector together! Overall, this is a good charging and firmware upgrade cable that includes a charging indicator that regular Micro-USB 2.0 cables don't have, but the 8-foot length feels a bit excessive given the connectivity issues during actual gameplay are. A NOTICE. Nyko "Item: 86115-Z27" (nearly identical to 86115-H17 in most photos posted) received from A2Z Central Marketing but does not have a second LED on the console side USB-A port as advertised!
