Why didn't mine fit?

Unfortunately, the set I bought didn't fit. I'm an experienced installer and just couldn't get them together. Something about the shape or design of my kit prevented it from sinking deep enough to line up with the screw mounts. I had to compare my OEM's and the lights and brackets seemed very identical but the OEM stood up straight and lined up while the replacements I bought just didn't sit properly in the holes. My 2005 Odyssey Touring had fog lights from the factory, so I know it shouldn't be on our side. However, I recommend removing the bumper for installation. It's actually not that difficult to do, and installation is simplified. Now I can't decide if I should try another set because there are so many positive reviews for this brand! Maybe the fit and finish depends on the seller?
