Day 1: Break on the side of the bag along the seam. The pouch and tallit smelled of E6000 and turpentine, a very strong chemical smell. I then had to run it through the washing machine an impressive 5 times on a gentle cycle in cold water with added fabric softener to remove 90% of the odor. With a smell that strong, you don't want to put anything on your head to pray. Aside from the pouch falling apart on day one, the tallit itself appears to be very well made. This is one of the items that I couldn't give as a gift due to the possibility of an overwhelming chemical smell and the package may not come as a gift. Since I bought this to use, I'm not a big fan of smell or seam tearing/unraveling. Day 2: Talith is finally dry and ready to use. It still smells a bit but it's not too bad and it's in usable condition now. I've noticed reviews in hindsight mentioning things like this. I should have paid more attention to reviews and considered them instead of judging before buying as I was comparing brands.
