Received the New Covenant Tallit Prayer Shawl quickly. It was packed very carefully and reverently, with no defects. That is beautiful. It contained accurate and important information about the historical significance and use of the tallit, as well as information specifically about this messianic prayer shawl tallit. There was absolutely no smell and it looked spotless but I decided to wash the scarf and storage bag. I did this with the hand wash cycle of my washing machine. This setting offers

Day 1: Break on the side of the bag along the seam. The pouch and tallit smelled of E6000 and turpentine, a very strong chemical smell. I then had to run it through the washing machine an impressive 5 times on a gentle cycle in cold water with added fabric softener to remove 90% of the odor.
