I was looking for a neck warmer that I can wear indoors and out without the dangling/bulky shawl ends. I wanted something that didn't fall over the neck (i.e. something with more thickness/fullness to cover the entire neck area). This item is a lot thinner than I expected (you can see light through it and it's called "lightweight"), but it's 22 inches long so it offers good coverage. The print is only on one side, but that doesn't matter with this particular darker colour. The opening is neither tight nor too loose (9.5 inches) (doesn't stay on my nose when I try to use it as a "face mask" but I won't use it for that purpose). Happy with this purchase and will keep it. I have no plans to use it in any configuration other than a neck warmer, but am glad there are options if needed. For this particular print, there are two 1.25 inch black stripes running across the gaiter from opposite sides.
