Bought this for my niece who is almost 5 years old. She really liked this gift and started playing with it shortly after opening it. Beads are represented by a multitude of large and small beads of different colors and shapes, as well as several multi-colored cords. Each rope is wrapped at both ends to help the child string the beads, allowing my niece to quickly make necklaces for everyone in the room. They can then be taken apart and used over and over again! This is a great activity for a young child and big enough to keep them busy for a while. I should note however that the box it comes in is not meant for permanent storage so you will need a plastic bag or something to store the beads and cord when not in use. Also, some pearls are small and pose a hazard to very young children (or animals) who might try to eat them.
