Review on Gray Boogie Board Jot LCD Writing Tablet - 8.5-inch Reusable Tablet with Instant Erase, Stylus Pen, Magnets, and Kickstand by John Douglas

My 4 year old son with autism has never been interested in drawing with colored pencils and he enjoys drawing with pencils on paper but becomes very aggressive and doesn't stay paper on it. There are drawing apps for the iPad, but if he has an iPad (which he loves), he's watching YouTube Kids instead of drawing with his finger. I was hoping this device would encourage him to practice his penciling skills and dexterity, save us from working with lots of paper and pencils and getting ink all over the place unnecessarily, and hopefully entertain him at church for a little while haha! What I love about it is how thin and light it is! I can easily toss it in any bag and don't even realize it's there. The color of the markings that appear is light green and very attractive. The flat, pen-like pencil that comes with the board is easy to hold and use for adults and children alike. I love that the pencil attaches to the base of the board so you don't have to worry about it floating around in your bag or getting lost, but you still have the freedom to write without restriction, unlike These magnetic scribble boards, on which the pen is stuck, are attached with a string. My son loves that it's like an iPad and he can press the home button to erase and start over as many times as he wants. A few notes: - Yes, it's battery operated (1 3V is pre-installed) - No, it doesn't have internal storage, connection to computers or storing images or drawings - You can scan and save/share your images with a free app on your phone or tablet - It has magnets on the back making it easy to attach to your fridge to take notes, display artwork or anything else. Holds tight enough not to move when the fridge door slams. This is a great feature. The screen reacts to pressure with a certain sensitivity (see fig.). There is absolutely no lag, either writing or erasing. Immediately - keep in mind that if you write at the very edges of the screen, the lines will blur and even change color in places (see image). In general, this thing is very well made, compact and cool. It does what it promises and does it well. Definitely recommend!
