I've been using this duvet for a little over a week and have enjoyed it since I first opened it. I'm a hot sleeper so the main thing I was looking for was a lightweight duvet that breathes. My main duvet is the all-weather Natural Comfort fill, it's too hot to breathe with a window closing at night in a 73F house. Pacific Down has another blanket that is very similar but it was three times the price so I thought I'd give it a chance to try it out before switching to a higher quality blanket in the future. Since I'm obsessed with temperature, here's an idea. of the settings I've used for the duvet so far: - Warm outside (75F+), windows closed. 71-74F indoors with small fan. - Colder (nice) outside, 50F, windows open. House at 71-74, fan running again. Here are some of my thoughts: PROS: - It's comfortable! It's quite soft and comfortable for sleeping. It keeps me, a very temperature sensitive sleeper, nice and warm/cool at night even with the window closed! He is breathing. I haven't woken up in the middle of the night feeling too hot since I bought it, whereas previously I couldn't sleep well for weeks because I was too hot. - Satin edges feel great! - It was comfortable to sleep with it (without other sheets etc.) in temperatures ranging from the low 50F to the mid 70F! CONS: - Not a big problem, but it's not as white as shown in the photo. I went for the ivory option and instead of a nice off-white it took on a much more yellow cast and went a little more matte than glossy which made it look a bit dull. But it was only $30 so I don't mind. I don't think it's as pretty as the picture but it's a good blanket to try before upgrading to the high end expensive version. - When the temperature dropped below 50 degrees last night, I woke up to have a drink and realized I was a bit cold. It wasn't cold enough to wake me up, but a blanket might not keep a person warm in temperatures of 40F and below, which is normal for a light blanket. As soon as the temperature is consistently below 50 degrees at night, I return my old Natural Comfort blanket, which fills in all the seasons. The main part of the quilt (the center, not the satin edges) is not as soft and luxurious as it is. looks. This is better than average, but you can feel a slight roughness in the fabric when you touch it. Laying it on your body/sleeping with it doesn't really stand out, but running your fingers across it confirms that it is indeed a $30 blanket. I'll use it until it gets too cold, winter really hits, then I'll switch back to a different blanket. I would recommend this blanket to anyone who sleeps hot and wants something that would normally cost $60 in a bed and half the price. I can buy a full size blanket for my friend as he liked it and tried to steal it several times! I would say it's 5/5 for a relatively cheap duvet, met all my expectations and surprised me at how good it turned out!
