Good quality cable. Getting and registering the included software is very easy. The software offers multiple ways to save your audio file - MP3, WAV, FLAC, as well as settings in each choice. Several disadvantages. Since my cassette deck is connected to the headphone jack, I can't hear any sound during playback. As this cassette was homemade and therefore not fully recorded on one side I have no idea when that side will be finished and there will be a lot of dead space recorded on it. Also, as far as I can tell, this software only creates one large file, not multiple tracks. I will update it as I work with the program and get to know it better. It's definitely helpful to have some basic knowledge to understand the settings, but it's not required.
