Summary - dead hard drive, horrible software, responsive email support via Coco, device seems capable given the price. I bought a 2TB 16 channel drive - $150. The device arrived with a dead hard drive (branded hard drive). I followed their FAQ to confirm the hard drive is not working. email support. For now I'm assuming this is going nowhere and I'll have to go back to Revane. Got an answer within an hour. I spent a few days emailing and they eventually admitted the drive was broken. I suggested just swapping out the hard drive (didn't want to go through the motion detector setup again). They said they would send me a postal label for my DVR. I insisted they send me a new one first. Back and forth a few times and they said it was good. I received it in 3 days. It took 7 days from when we first received the order until it was completed. Everything was in order. The desktop and mobile software works, but barely works. Searching through records is almost impossible because it is almost impossible to find them in time. I may not have figured it out yet as this has been my experience with most of the features. I was a little skeptical about the email support but it was responsive and worked well. In hindsight, it was probably better than phone ID, voicemail, and hold. Thank you Coco
