We love this timer. The parenting course I attend (Positive Parenting Solutions) recommends such a timer and I have to say we use it several times a day. For my kids (3 and 7 years old) it's so easy to see how much time has passed. We use it for her daily rest, twice a day at special times, and even for her morning and evening routine. That way they know the lights go out when the timer goes off. If they quickly brush their teeth and put on pajamas, they have more time for books. So I don't have to nag, the timer takes care of it.
