After my Mustang made an annoying clicking noise at startup (but before the engine started), I spent a couple of hours investigating what could be the problem. Turns out the clicking sound was coming from my original blend door actuator which was behind the glove box and on the front left. This replacement drivetrain was perfect for my 2012 Ford Mustang. I used this, an 8mm Uxcell pan head combo wrench, an auto repair tool and a lot of patience to remove the broken actuator from my car and replace it. If you get stuck, remember to first gently pull down on the red metal clip to release the electrical connector at the bottom of the original drive. It took me almost half an hour to remove the bottom right screw, but it's doable with an 8mm socket wrench. Luckily, this new Motocraft drive didn't have any problems. After screwing it back in and plugging in the power the clicking sound was gone and I find my AC is working as expected. This was one of my first car repairs, only attempted because I heard they charge over $700 for the replacement. Most importantly it appears to be a perfectly working piece which I was surprised to find for only $15.
