2011 Mustang V6 Main Door Operator

All the local auto parts stores had the same Dorman "Master" operator for my daughter's 2011 Mustang V6. While this is pretty much the "part" I was looking for, Dorman's case is slightly larger than the factory case so it will NOT fit. Ford does a poor job of identifying the three actuators in the Mustang. I have not found a matching part number that fits another manufacturer. To find the right part, you had to pull out the bad one and compare it visually with pictures on the Internet. A little

Necessary replacement for broken Ford plastic part

Revain colleagues to help. known defective mechanism from Ford. It's the ticking of death when you try to change the air conditioning temperature. It is because of this faulty mechanism that causes a terrible noise coming from behind the dashboard. After my Mustang made an annoying clicking noise at startup (but before the engine started), I spent a couple of hours investigating what could be the problem.
