The sound is pretty good for what it is and the price. I use it to record my fireworks and it picks up loud sounds much better than my iPhone. The problem is the small piece of styrofoam that fits into the microphone. Mine never fitted properly, always loose and of course after 3 days it fell off somewhere during recording, now the mic is practically useless outdoors without this part so I threw it away. If you're using this for audio work in bright rooms, it's definitely worth it.
