Review on Sunset Changing Including Rainbow Control by Tara Hammack

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Convenient night light/remote control features set this light apart from other similar lights.

I have had several of these sunset lamps and none of them match the photos but this one is the closest I have. The LED itself provides different colors, so it does not depend on filters like the others. That means you get 16 different colors without having to take the bulb apart. However, the fading at the edges is quite harsh, resulting in a ring around the color wheel rather than a pretty fade, but I guess that's to be expected from this type of lamp. The IR remote comes in handy as mine sits in the far corner of my desk, eliminating the need to reach under my desk to get to the switch. The IR receiver is sort of under the lens of the flashlight, so sometimes it can pick up an IR signal and sometimes not even from the same position. Once you figure out where the IR receiver is, you'll be able to aim a little better, but it's still iffy at times. Still, it's more convenient. Overall, this is probably the best breed right now, but the breed itself is so-so.

Pros
  • QUALITY - The projection lamp is made of high quality plastic. The special stress zone (hinge element) is made of an iron-aluminum alloy, which keeps the structure light while maintaining strength.
Cons
  • Some issues
