Updated Review: Over a year and 15,000 miles after installing it on my 2014 883 Iron these bags are still a great product. Although I didn't install the mounts, there was only minor wear on the back of the bags where they rub against the shock studs. Plus, regular cleaning with Pledge will keep the bags looking new. The laces that come with the bags are still in excellent condition, not frayed. The pockets held their shape despite stuffing them with whatever I could. I take them off every time I wash my bike and they are easy to put back on. I could not find any damage to the fender paint under my seat. The color on my iron is a specialty color from a lollipop factory, so I'm not sure if that's a factor. Would buy again. Perfect fit for my 2014 Harley Davidson XL Iron 883N. No need to move lights or side license plate. Mounted as a rocker, under my low Mustang single seat. I recommend buying closet support brackets. Not necessarily, but without a support bracket the bags will rest on shock studs which will likely wear out on the bags at some point. I didn't want anything really big, just to run to the store every now and then and lug my stuff to and from work. The first race was to the market for six packs of beer (bottles) and it was copied with no problems: it fitted and didn't sag. The black buckles go great with my darkened iron. Featured! Note. I actually bought it through Revain. The bags are a little more expensive, but with free shipping to Hawaii, the overall cost was less than any other. Yes Raven!
