These shoes are great for hot summers! They are so lightweight that I can feel the breeze through my toes. I also take the soles out and throw them in the washing machine when they get dirty (I don’t think they were designed to be machine washed, but I’ve washed them 3 times and it works.) My only complaint is that the padding on the bottom of the shoe is thin. I walked around Athens for 5 days in these shoes, and the cobblestone streets start bugging your feet by day 3 because the padding is so thin. I would recommend these for short trips and walking around, but NOT for running because of the thin padding
