These need a fair amount of sunlight to recharge.

They are quite sensitive to movement. However, the actual range in which it detects is quite small. They dont seem to kill my night vision too badly. We use 3 to light up a 40 sq yard area and a 4th for the interior of a cabin. I typically gather them and lay them all in the sun for 2 or 3 hours a day to recharge if not in the direct light.

They are an affordable solution to outdoor lighting needs

Cons

The lights might not be adjustable for different lumens output
