I originally purchased this to replace a different battery fan that I'd had for many years. I've had it for 3 months so far, and it's very reliable. I do keep it plugged in most times (because it's usually on my desk by the computer.) However, I've had occasion to use it in a hot kitchen, unplugged, to keep me cool and not turn into the swamp monster. It had no drop in power, lasted my entire duration (3 hours) while on battery, and moves quite a bit of air for the size of the fan. I've purchased a second one for my daughter's bedroom. The only thing I've found recently is that the indicator light sometimes vacillates between red and blue very quickly when constantly plugged in.
