Vise is 4.5 inches long and will hold up to a 1/8 drill bit. Big size is good for big tasks. The end cap rotates for one-handed drilling and serves as a removable cover for the handle storage well. However, the end cap can be very hard and requires a flathead screwdriver to remove. I smeared petroleum jelly into the end cap to make it easier to remove.
