My old fan was DOA when I got it out of the garage to clean it and use it this spring. After reading the reviews on this fan I figured it would be our much needed replacement. The new fan landed on my porch the next day and I immediately opened the box and took it out for a test drive. After reading the manual, I connected the fan and turned it on. The first thing I noticed was how loud it is. I tried adjusting the exit angle to see if that makes a difference. it's not like this. I then adjusted the power level from low to high. It just made it louder. I turned it off and checked for defects. nope Upon closer inspection, I also noticed that although it made so much noise, it doesn't blow much air. The biggest benefit for me was that people mentioned a lot how quiet it is and that it can move a lot of air. This was not my experience. It didn't take long for me to decide this wasn't going to be our backup fan. I thought I had received a defective fan and immediately boxed it up, sent it back for a refund and continued my search for the perfect fan.
