As a 40 pound, lanky beagle mix (perhaps a beagle first and foremost), I never thought our dog would be an XXL pup. However, judging by the size chart, this worked. The coat looks well tailored and the inner lining is very soft. The buttons are a huge plus as his fur is constantly clogging the velcro in his last coat, preventing him from staying in place. The dog doesn't seem to mind wearing a coat and helps keep him warm on winter walks. We have yet to test the coat's waterproofing and only time will tell how it holds up. But so far we are very happy with this purchase. The star has been removed from the rating due to the rather limited size options.
