This item was a perfect replacement for a melted OEM connector. UPDATE: Originally purchased in May 2018. At the time I figured simply replacing the melted connector with this one would solve the problem. 3 years later after moving to Las Vegas in 2019 and living in the summer heat every year I'm back with the same problem. This time I will replace the resistor to which it is connected, since 3 years between these repairs does not seem enough time. I will keep you informed. However, I believe this item to be a valid and correct replacement for the melted plug. IT of excellent quality!
