The belts couldn't stand it - this bag was carried by a 3rd grader. Every day she puts her sweater in it and a folder in which she occasionally puts a book or two from the library. After 4 months the strap started to detach from the bag. I took a picture of the front of the bag so you can see how good the backpack is. It's a shame how our 3rd graders LOVE! this backpack. It's reasonably priced for a kid's backpack - should help!
