If you want the same great protection for your new Hero 5 as previous GoPro models, this is definitely a buy. These are the same materials they've been using for years and they work great. The case comes with an open rear door and two watertight doors, which comes in handy in case the O-ring on one of them breaks. Plus, compared to other GoPro accessories, this is one of the cheapest, especially considering what you get. Another thing to note is that the filter size for this case is different than the Hero 3+ or 4 (I'm not sure about older models but I assume they're different too). So if you have filters, there are these you need to get new ones. One thing I didn't know before purchasing and would like to know is that you actually have to remove the front glass panel from the Hero 5 before putting it in this case. It's not a big problem, but it's hard to take off and feels like you could break it if you're not careful. Also, that little pane of glass is quite small and can easily be lost or damaged, so be careful not to lose it (although they do sell replacements). So, in summary, this case is amazing. If you want the best protection for your camera, or need to get under 30 feet underwater, you should definitely do this. If you're careful with the Hero 5's front glass panel, you're done.
